A Special Thanks

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who joined us at the "Shun No More 2024 - Be Free" protest. Your presence at the White House on September 13th helped raise awareness of the harmful practices of the Jehovah’s Witness organization and other high-control religious groups. Together, we made our voices heard and stood in solidarity with survivors of religious abuse.

A special thank you to our speakers, who shared their powerful stories and provided a beacon of hope for so many. Your words inspired strength and ignited change in the hearts of those who are still suffering in silence.

To everyone who helped organize, promote, and support this movement—whether through social media, volunteering, or showing up in person—you have made a difference. This movement was a step toward accountability, awareness, and ultimately, freedom for those impacted by shunning practices.

Thank you for your courage, your passion, and your commitment to justice. We will continue to push forward together.

With gratitude and solidarity,

Organizer (PIMO)

Shun No More in 2024 - Be Free Protest Organizer

Poem

A lifetime of longing, my charcoal heart's ache.

To be invited, to belong, with hands to shake.

Then came a gathering, a protest, a stand.

With strangers who shared memories while holding hands.

Origins diverse with hidden common ground.

In our shared stories, new friendships are bound.

Years of unwanted vibes, as the odd one out.

Faded during those moments, without a doubt.

Decades of searching, of struggle to be heard.

To be loved, to be wanted, nothing absurd.

Feeling shattered, lost, broken, and alone.

Now feeling strengthened to make a safe home.

Such thriving comfort a welcomed safe space.

Where trauma's not a flaw, but strength to embrace.

We laughed, we cried, and shared stories too.

Holding that glow and embracing whats true.

No more fighting, no more pretending to be.

Seeking strength and a glimpse of humanity.

Touched by the invite and kindness you showed.

For listening ears, and advice for the road.

Feeling certain now, close to healing and hope.

A step towards a future where I can cope.

You may think it's small, but it's somewhere to start.

Just a bit of kindness that mends my heart.
